local beauty...mangosteen

wow..this craze really hit me bad...when Makonem suggested "mangosteen"... i really feel i should take the challenge...it was sleepless nite for me..thinking i must make it ....MUST...and i did..

after finished my 'suppose to do' this morning while waiting for my love hubby to come home...(actually we are sending Aliff back to Malacca...p
urgh, i'm missing my babies like crazy....!!!)
i took out my purple felt...whatelse....cut...sew and filled...and for all i know this is the result .... our local beauty .....miss mangosteen... sedap nya lama tak makan!

the making...actually i'm using the same technique as making the crunchy apples ... and added the top petals (sorry i don't really know what it call..)
well..i love to see the outcome but tell me what you think of it....does it look like a mangosteen or else...???? and now i'm thinking whether i'll be able making it as...half mangosteen which i think it would be lovely combinations ....purple and white ....????

many did know i'm into rubic cube also...as can be seen in the photo ...that's my loyal past time friend beside sewing....the bestest time i ever made was 1 minute and 40 seconds...not bad aaah?? now both Aliff and Azeem are master in it....i would really love to put my hands on 4 x 4 rubic cube...but not now ...later i will !!!

and another green crunchy apple for my sis in-law Liza

thinking of making some other things but i have to stop myself from doing it....stop...stop in the of love!!!

i'll be off from blogging for this weekend...well, we are going to Cherating for WCM Family Day 2009...i was half-half actually b-coz my two elders are not going...big boys already huh?!

well...really hope that i'll be able to enjoy myself....under the sun... sea-breeze ... waves ... sands ... Azeem and Adam ... my love hubby .......and Aliff and Aiqal at home ...purghhhh!

so before i leave...i made these...as my weekend project...

again i asked my not so cheap labour to do another task...cutting the fibre...so that i'll be able to make myself these apples...i saw these apples in livingcreatively.com.au yesterday ...and fell in love with it...lady luck was on myside ...Linda called and asked me whether i would like to go to SS19 with her....for sure...mengantuk di sorong bantal....!!!

but there ...they didn't have what i'm looking for...so we decided to stop at normal sewing shop...i jumped for joy when i saw what i'm looking for...apple green felt....!!!!

here's my crunchy green apples...yummmmmy!

weekend project - pincushions

well...it was a busy weekend for me....on Sat. 18th...was another get-together at Nor Amar's house...but this time...it was sewing cum carpentering (hubbies) and birthday party ....just image how busy we were....more on eating..whatelse !!!
would love to thank our host Nor..for such a lovely food (rosemary rice and mee bandung..)it was yummmmmy!!

and on Sunday..it was my eldest son Aliff's 19th.birthday...no celebration tho'...Aliff is going back to Malacca today...for his final exam...good luck !!
we decided to go back Banting before Aliff go back to Malacca...again had a yummy lunch..but this time kampung style...lemak cili padi ayam...hati ayam goreng jawa style...sambal tumis kerang...ikan masin...masak tumis air batang keladi...sambal kelapa with ulam pucuk raja...sambal belacan with mempelam...
simply the best especially my MIL's cooking....fingers licking good!!

well as usual..while we were there...me and my nieces (Jasmin and Ariessya) found a lovely project to make....Spring Chick pin-cushion from the latest BHG CC spring 2009...
Jasmin has put her effort in making this chicks...from tracing the templates...cutting...sewing ...and stuffing the chicks....then the group became bigger when...Linda came over to see our progress ...then came A.Ani joining the crowd.....by the end of the day....we make 6 chicks ....

but...my evening does not end there....then came my sis in-law Liza... pestering to make another pin-cushion...still the same magazine as a reference ...she wanted to sew a sweet pin-cushion Sweet Slice...so my weekend end up with these lovely pin-cushions... pink spring chicks, brown sweet slice, bright red xegon and lovely pink square (which i make earlier)....what a day..!
