...i love teddy bears...this bear may not be as cute as the one that i have but i guess the satisfaction of making it.. makes it looks cuter..!!

a perfect mistakes....

...my hubby 's "Ohio Star" quilt


...the Hearts quilt


..as promised.... here's my hubby's 1st.quilt..actually the quilt pattern consist of 2 different blocks.. alternately ..the Ohio Star block and hearts block...being a beginner at that time i was a bit 'perfectionist'..while doing the applique heart blocks ..fray really bothered me..i keep on trimming the raw edges..until the day i wanted to join the blocks..SURPRISED...the hearts blocks were smaller...
...i'm so so sad !

...but i guess.."we do the quilts"..so in the end of the day ...i'm glad that now i have 2 quilts instead of one..... (291098)

for my love...






i was thrilled when my hubby asked for "his 2nd.quilt"...i love colours and bright quilt so i decided ..a quilt from my scrap bag would be lovely...i saw this "Birds in the air" scrap quilt in one of my quilt magazine...he loves it....he even commented without even looking at it.....he's good isn't it..?...thanks hon (140105)

p/s...the red fabric was from my maternity dress...i will post his 1st.quilt photo..later

..inspired from one of Aiqal's drawing..he was 8years (98)....the quilts were made to fit their double-decker bed and now they have another quilts to fit their size !!!!! he is a young man now..i'm glad that he still got the talents...

..i'm self-thought quilter so i really learnt from mistakes and bleeding fingers...with a help from my hubby's aunt...we get together changing fabrics..books and ideas..more laughing..more chatting..more eating..means less cutting.. still do...and now with four aunts..two sis-in-laws...it always havoc !!!!! but then i'm glad that i have all the great moments and still managed to create my own quilts..thru'out the years of quilting now i have somethings to share with.......no more back-pain and sore fingers when i saw the quilts i've made......

i started quilting when i become a full-time housewife (June 1995)..for a beginner i started with small projects..cushions and baby quilts..then i put my hands on smocking..

...this sunbonnet sue quilt was my first BIG project...hand appliqued ..embroidery flowers and full hand-quilted ...it was a GREAT achievements for me..and it becomes my favourite (150698)

...still for the wedding..we decided that our family gonna wear purple and lilac during the wedding in KL ..so i make this smocking dress for my little Zahra ..my sister's (grand daughter)...the fabric.. japanese voile.. with a touch of lilac and purple thread for the smocking design....

Wedding gift......


..when my 1st.nephew got married 16th.March 2007..i made him a quilt "hearts of love as a gift...(posted)

and now another nephew is getting married....so i decided to make him blue and white tones quilt...and end up with this dresden pattern...i just love the blue colour and really hope that my nephew GG will loves it too.....
