it's a surprise door gift for Adik's reunion yesterday ...

it was her ITM Sura Gate reunion ... adik was really looking forward for this event...

she summoned me to do 20 pieces .. a simple drawstring pouches ....

with a simple lettering to mark their get-together ... have asked Maz to help me with that ...thank you Maz !

looking at their reunion photos ...i'm sure they had a great time !!!

mum's collections ...

went back to hometown yesterday after so many moons ....

just an overnite trip tho' ...

we talked about everything ... old and new

when comes to old ... mum asked to bring back some of her collections ...

and i call it ..

then told mum about my success baking stories ( thanks to all..)

when comes about maruku .. mum told me to bring back her

brass 'maruku' mould ....hehehe i like :)

square bags...

square bags for my sisters ... Adik n Ngah

they have been waiting for these bags for quite sometime now...

sori sis ...

made these bags from pre-cut Amy Butler 4.5 in squares ... Adik got it from Ebay :)

and handles are handmade by my aunty Hanim ( browngardendream.blogspot.com)

it's done... so now it's up to my lovely sisters to pick according to their taste ...

which i think i know which sister gonna pick which bag ...hehehehehe

remember those lovely pre-cut fabrics i got???

i made a buttercup bag out of it ....

joined the squares and this is what i got...

baking bahulu ...

when i'm thinking of baking bahulu traditional way....i thought .."crazy dream..."
then when a friend Suriti Omar n hubby willing to buy for me the
brass mould ...i asked myself .."are u sure??"

then during Raya i visited my aunty Mak Hindon and she passed to me her knowledge ...i said "must do it!"
then when all my family and friends gave me their surpports... i said " I CAN "

today is the day....

waste no time ..start the mission ...

10 duck eggs (1bowl) wt 1 3/4 bowl of sugar

start ...beat it.....until it reallly fluffy ..we took nearly 2 hours ...

preparing the stove ... burnt the charcoals ...place it onto the cover

can't deny the failure..hehehe
we do burnt few before we got the perfect one ...

now i know..i should have heat the mould first ... get the right tempreture
then...baking begins ....

the result...look at Nina's happy face and you tell me ...hehehehe

happy.....

gonna bake again ...for the 3rd.round !!!
