weekend project - patchwork bag III

well here i am again...talking about another weekend project bag...we decided to make it PURPLE bag this time...we go thru' all the purple-pink fabrics and as a result ..we got this..!!

4 1/2 x 4 1/2in square...4 blocks x 8 blocks....and now i'm using button (magnet) from inside...with two dummy buttons outside the bag...just for deco !

p/s ..the wall-hanging is my xegon quilt...hand-pieced n hand-quilted.(52 x 74in)

well...well...well..another bag for a weekend..this bag was slightly smaller...we decided on 4x4 in squares and make it as 4 blocks x 8 blocks ...again hand-quilted ...with a suede leather handles...

the bag was joined in banting...but when i reached home i decided to do something different from the previous bag....i think hard that night...then i decided... a zip and flat bottom!!!

this bag was easy to make but putting the zipper ...really challenging...i've never make a bag with a zipper before so ...i can't sleep thru'out the night thinking...how???as they always say...it's easier said than done..but i'm glad...maybe it's not perfect but it turnout to be ...just fine !

whenever i was back in banting...for sure my sis-in law Liza will try to take advantage out of it...well i'm glad..at least now we have few weekend project bags...

this bag was an ad-hoc project..so we call it a weekend bag....firstly we select the rose printed fabrics ...all colours..then..choose...then..we cut the selected fabrics..6 x 6 in. square...joined into 5 blocks x 6 blocks..hand-quilted it...make a bag with recycle leather handles...the handles were hand sewn...

p/s the coca-cola sewing tin is my fav. item..gift from beloved hubby..thanks sayang!

mending my heart with reversible bags...

...wow...it really hit me hard when my dad got sick...couldn't eat or drink...he looks so fragile...so weak...such a strong man like him...i really didn't prepare to see him in that conditions...we went back to kuantan ...he was admitted at Tengku Ampuan Afzaan hospital...with drips .. cracking lips...pale looks...it put tears in my eyes....

after all the drips...blood test..etc..doc said he's gonna be ok...aahh..what a relief...!!!!

then..just to kill the 'down' feeling..i decided to find something that can bring back the 'cheer' ...my sis took me to kamdar...i was impressed with their collections...and i found these beautiful fabric...denim look-a-like...plain n printed blue...i loooove it..and make reversible bags out of it..!!!!!

on 1st. feb we have another get together sewing day at my friend's 'studio' house ..( hope i have that space) for making bears n a bag...

i make mine at home... actually none of the bears were finished on that day b-coz we were buzzzy eating so...homework ladies...finish it at home!!

the blue bear is for my son Adam and the red bear is for my sweet niece Nabila..my brother's daughter in Rompin,Pahang....
