my treasures...

wow...how i wish i could talk about the long-lost treasures....like Raiders of the lost Ark ....but these treasures...i'm sure soooooo many of you all out there have it.... let us talk about....quilters' treasures...and as for me...here are some of mine....after being hooked to quilting , patchwork , smocking and crafting for quite sometimes now....there are so many things that become a part of me now...no matter whether if it's new or junks.... my sewing partner are my treasures........!

first of all....my handsome and faithful sewing machine Singer...which i bought in 1995...only broke down ..once..last year....and my threads organizer....which i got it from a friend's shop....what's a friend for..aaaah?? thanks...

my thimbles...... i'm a hand-quilt quilter ...so it's not surprise if i do own numbers of thimbles and here are some of the special ones....for collections of course...my love hubby bought me the leather thimble from Japan ....but i still prefer the normal iron thimbles...thanks anyway...do buy some more...ok sayang..

my antique threads collections....given to me by my "Sifu" MakOnem (browngardendream.blogspot.com)...the threads were in her in-laws' family for quite sometimes....she decided to share some with me just after her mother in-law passed away...thanks alot!! and the black box was hand-made... by me...

fabrics from Japan....my love hubby went there and bring back some fabrics ...a gift from a japanese friend..actually there are more..but i 've already used some to make a quilt top...and now become my another UFO..waiting in line to be quilted....will post the quilt once it's ready!!

pack from New Zealand...given to me by a Maori friend Oli Tuang...yet to decide what to do with it...but my son Azeem already put his name on it...

my ideas initiator and my silent teacher...books and magazines... ...patchworks..crafts..smocking..inspirations..in english..japanese..and chinese...
i don't really care what language actually....as long as i understand...hehehe

my stork scissors and a souvenir...which i brought back from Japan...Japanese believes that bells will chase away the bad spirit...that's why most of their souvenirs or gifts...gotto do with bells...

my sewing machine teapot...
and coins-box... gifts from my sons (mother's day 1999)...

my sewing boxes...the wooden box was given to me by my love hubby (an anniversary gift 2008) ...the red box (from China) and the green box (from N.Zealand) ...both gifts are from my friend Oli Tuang......

and my sewing tin...my love hubby bought this Coca-cola tin (he collects Coca-cola items..) from Jakarta...11 years ago...and now it becomes my closest sewing partner....

last but not least...pin-cushions...i have a few actually...every sewing box must have it's o
wn...pin-cushion and thimble....so i won't be looking for it....lazy old lady...
..i do make my own pin-cushions...

....i think all quilters do have their own special items..even a curved needles.....i do...!!
