it's crunchy 2...

well..i guess i just can't help it...need to take a break from my final stage mega-project (another 14 pieces to go.....)

after making those crunchy apples...i went and bought a few more meters of felt...crazy me...this time ... few colours ...

i decided to make another crunchy apple ...a crunchy red apple as a gift to my very dear quilter friend and neighbour Oli Tuang ....

and another green crunchy apple for my sis in-law Liza

thinking of making some other things but i have to stop myself from doing it....stop...stop in the of love!!!



good news..i'm gonna get another cucu..expecting a girl ...again?????just can't wait....hoorey

a frame...

i made these frames for my friend...well , actually i don't really know what to use..in order to get a nice sturdy frame ...so as usual i turned to Makonem... she asked me to use mounting board (hard and thick board) which normally being use by Art n Design students...with all other things that i should have.....the board was so thick and it also good for making boxes ....



my friend gave me the fabrics that matching to her baby's and her niece's room....the fabrics were from Laura Ashley furnishing...

the board was padded with fibre ... shining piping cord for the face and lace for the frame's surrounding...


the pink roses frame is for her niece .....









and the yellow checks is for her son....













i think ...it's the best project for those who loves....matching things... maybe remnents from any quilt projects?....it would be lovely especially for lil'girl's room...any takers?

quilt for aten...

people used to ask me...what's it feel like having four boys...well, i guess life is fair whether boy or girl ...the task are the same ... not to deny i do miss something that mums normally do with their little girls ...a'aaa don't get me wrong .... no regrets tho' ... my boys are the best.. the greastet gift of my life ...

but ...despite having no girls in my home but i do have beautiful girls in my life ... to mention some...elin , aten , nabilah , rina , yan , seha . adik atyn . jasmin , arriessa . aishah , iman and the latest princess of my life Zahra ... :)

this quilt is for aten ... my sister's daughter ... adik wants me to make a quilt for aten .... she said " make it sweet..!"knowing me... i can never be soooooo sweet ...

the applique roses - i choose red and pink tones ... to make it sweet but just look at the sashing and borders....a'aah so sori ya dik...then i embroideried her name on the center square ... hand-appliqed and hand-quilted ... do hope this quilt will warmth her nights ...

aten will be joining others ... UiTM here they come (actually, she went to Unisel ...only for one day... me and love hubby went and pick her up the very next day..!) and tomorrow gonna be their (aiqal/iman/aten and adik atyn) registrations day ....and aten will be going to Terengganu ... na na na na na ganu kite... !

my bags...iv

miss me ... anyone??? well .. i'm soooo very busy ... started with the school holidays until the first week of July , my weekends will be FULL !

well... actually i wanted to show another bag from my bags collection...
this bag was inspired from Hanim's indian inspired bag (brown garden dream)... but i made mine as a reversible bag...


i used black corduroy ...

blue and white american cotton....

same as Hanim's bag... i also used the same technique...wrapping the rattan handles with embroidery threads ... of-coz with colours that complements to my fabrics....

i really love the ideas of wrapping the handles !!!

the bag .... my version that's suit my 'not so lady-like' character....:)



actually..having a reversible bag was fun...i used to changed my bag during shopping...just because i walk passed a mirror and thought that the other side of the bag look better with what i'm wearing ....a'aaah what can my love hubby said except...smile

my sunbonnet sue bag...

well....i'm back from 'great' holidays...now i'm free from washing..folding and ironing..(not for long tho') and now back to normal life ...

i really love this particular Sunbonnet Sue pattern...maybe it's b-coz it was the first pattern i learnt to make...in fact i made few projects ... baby quilts ... my queen size quilts ... cushion ... wall-hangings (frame it!) ... and of-coz bags ... i'm loving it! (will post the Sunbonnet Sue collections...later )

the family day...

it was my second FD in a row for this school holidays...the Harun-Zaharah family get-2gether...after twice in Kuantan and once in Tioman and this year in Putrajaya ...

my beloved parents...Haji Harun b. Haji Salleh and Hajjah Zaharah bt. Haji Taeh...watching us during the telematch...

it was our 4th.family get-2gether (sorry guys wrongly printed as 3rd...!) suppose to be (camping) in Rompin but due to unforseen circumstances ..venue changed and my bro. in-law abang Man suggested that we have a bowling tournament instead...so the 3days 2nights event will be held in Putrajaya...


it started with 'treasure hunt' on saturday morning ... too bad my love hubby have to work so my family have to join with others...i choose my nephew Raffles Azuree (Zahra's dad) to be in my group...( Raffles/Aiman/lil'Zahra/Azeem/Adam and myself)....and here we go....Putrajaya...it was fun...wrong ways...shopping at Mydin...sweeper cum paparazzi...and our team reached home last but.......we won 2nd.place (time diff.)

then after lunch...BOWLING at Alamanda....clad in different colour t.shirt ... we show off our not so good skills... well to our surprise some of them do have a skill ... not bad ..not bad at all ! and of-coz there're alot of laughing and screaming ... especially when everybody is trying to show off what they got... hahahahahaha

after the 2 hours battle of the family ... we got the winners and the trophy goes to D'nines (my 1st. sister's family..) and D'jawas (my family) 1st.runner up and D'Azees (my 2nd. sister's family)2nd.runner-up... and D'jawas also won Boy category - Aliff - champion and Aiqal - 2nd.runner-up and my love hubby won 1st.runner-up for Male category....

... it was BBQ dinner... with all those fresh seafood came all the way from Rompin ... it was fantastic dinner ... fishes / prawns / squids / crabs and of-coz chickens ... fingers licking good!

the next morning... telematch ... we drove to a lake near PICC ... and have a wonderful telematch and great time ... games and prizes were provided by each family... just to make it short... it was GREAT ! ...till the next family day..take care and love you all...

holidays will never end... another Family Day... and this time it was special...my family Harun-Zaharah family get-together...(12th.-14th.June) yipheee!!!! will talk about it more later....

before i left for the event (friday)...i managed to start with the 3rd.phase...the mini sejadah...thank you to my not so cheap labour for making my work less....thanks alot Aliff... i'm trying my best to finish the project before end June...so the continuation begins......

home sweet home...it was fun weekend besides missing my love Aliff and Aiqal...



the Family Day with a touch of charity...so they called it Cherating Charity Drive 2009..it started at Bukit Jalil Stadium parking area ... with 71 cars and families who were so excited to go...after the cheque presentations...and off we gooooooo

the flag off......Cherating here we come....

reached Cherating at about 3.30pm but due to unforseen circumstances..we only able to check in at about 5pm....purghh!! and best of all i met Mr.Ravi my ex-colleague...looooong time ago when i started working..1986-88 at Metrojaya...


the telematch...clad in YELLOW t.shirt ...everybody marched to the beach... fun time...so sad no event for mothers tho' except for laughing and cheerleading.....


my love hubby with Adam and Shaz ..Azrina's daughter...(cutz n patch)...they won....well, all groups managed to win...should see how's the prize presentation ceremony....it was fun...!!!!!

the dinner...with the theme "UNIFORM"....

here we are in our uniform..F1 Sepang Circuit marshal's uniform...

it was fun to see others in all kind of uniforms that nite...and the most popular uniforms worn that nite were....bomba,polis and askar...typical Malaysian...patriotic!!!

well...those lucky person didn't go home empty handed...they selected the best family uniform(wearing racing outfit + helmet)..the best uniform for male (wearing full gear of fire-brigade) and for female (wearing pre-school uniform)....let me talk about it...i was impressed with the efforts put on this event...especially the female category...she sewn the uniforms for the whole family includes her husband's ...should see how cute they are.!!!! i'm glad to mention who she is....Mas (hobby mummy)...she spend 4 days sewing the uniforms...you go girl...i just love it...so cute..

it was beautiful weekend....sunny day with a touch of rain on sunday morning...the sea..the sand...and wonderful friends...what more do we need to complete the days...emmmm Aliff and Aiqal...?

i'll be off from blogging for this weekend...well, we are going to Cherating for WCM Family Day 2009...i was half-half actually b-coz my two elders are not going...big boys already huh?!

well...really hope that i'll be able to enjoy myself....under the sun... sea-breeze ... waves ... sands ... Azeem and Adam ... my love hubby .......and Aliff and Aiqal at home ...purghhhh!

so before i leave...i made these...as my weekend project...

again i asked my not so cheap labour to do another task...cutting the fibre...so that i'll be able to make myself these apples...i saw these apples in livingcreatively.com.au yesterday ...and fell in love with it...lady luck was on myside ...Linda called and asked me whether i would like to go to SS19 with her....for sure...mengantuk di sorong bantal....!!!

but there ...they didn't have what i'm looking for...so we decided to stop at normal sewing shop...i jumped for joy when i saw what i'm looking for...apple green felt....!!!!

....HAPPY HOLIDAYS ...

feastive season...

well..i guess it's become our custom (now) to hold a wedding ceremony during school holidays...almost everybody will try to take the advantage of it...loooooong holidays...and we often try to kill two birds with one stone...holidays or balik kampung cum attending wedding...am i right ???? ...hehehe

time flys sooooooo very fast...i only remember that my friend Seliha ...asking me a favour...to do something for son's engagement...which i forgot when...alamak it's aready 4th.day of holidays and i really thought that the ceremony will be held next week...i better get it done...lucky it's only a small favour...a place for ring and bunga rampai (malay's potpurri made from pandanus -type of plant with fragrance that will be cut into small pieces and mixed with flowers..)

she wants it all white...and simple...

for ring..a small brass container...

and as for bunga rampai (malay's potpourri)...again all white with touch of sweet pink and white ribbons..

all items will be placed on a kind of large matel (brass/silver) pedestal tray....btw this photo is just my illustration tho'...hehehe

then ...it was a big laugh LOL...my friend came over and told me the ceremony will be held on 2nd.of July....i really thought that it's next weekend...hahahaha...poor me..mixed up with other event...aaaa'h age factor i guess..!!!

but actually it's a bless...and now i can proceed with the 3rd.phase of my mega project...always think positive..right?!what a joke...poor old lady..:)

i'm not good in these...and glad she likes it.!

the 1st.day ...

well...it's school holidays...we decided to go back to Banting. ..just for one night tho'...Monday ..the very 1st. day of school holidays and i thought that it gonna be a slow and blue Monday but i was wrong...it was soooooo happening...


My sis in-law was on MC...the little Ariessya was sick...and Jasmin , my sweet niece already has a project for us ...guess what?? a pencil case..

well...i showed her how to do...then she do all the cutting...basting and quilting..herself..
while waiting for Jasmin to finish her task...i decided to make a small project...such as a needle case ...my sis in-law Liza also wants one...hehehe i knew it ....




done ...the roses with green polka-dots is mine...still waiting for Jasmin ...Liza wants to make another small project...a cosmetic pouch and here it is...a blue pouch




finally ... walla... done and here's Jasmin the pround owner...actually how she wish it is not school holidays yet...poor Min..have to wait for 2 weeks to bring it to school...

on the 1st.day of holidays...we spend the whole day making these...2 needle cases, a blue pouch and a pencil case...

and i'm home now...and wonder what am i goona do on my 2nd.day of the holidays....????
